Over five years ago, following several months agonizing for a conclusive diagnosis, my wife and I learned she had Parkinson’s Disease, a life-altering and degenerative neurological disorder. I immediately offered myself for volunteer work with the Parkinson’s Society locally and the results were immediate and overpowering. I’ve since gone on to serve on the National Board of Directors and I continue to be inspired by the many new friends I’ve made who routinely display great strength and perseverance as they live their days full of optimism while they battle their symptoms. My wife and my Board colleagues are true heroes.
Because of this experience, each day I am grateful for the time with my wife, the love we share and the very special bond we have built that strengthens with each day.
